Scrikss — A Turkish Writing Heritage Since 1963

Scrikss Metal and Plastic Company was founded in Istanbul on 18 December 1963. Production of writing instruments under the Scrikss name began in Turkey in 1964, establishing the foundation of one of the country's best-known pen manufacturers.

The First Turkish Scrikss Fountain Pen

In 1966, Scrikss introduced the Scrikss 17. According to the company's historical archive, it became the first fountain pen manufactured in Turkey under the Scrikss brand, with local production apart from its nib.

Scrikss Fountain Pens for Everyday Writing

The Scrikss range is not limited to collector pens. Accessible models can provide practical fountain-pen writing for students, journaling, office work and writers discovering refillable pens for the first time. Penshelf's Scrikss Primeo, for example, combines a lightweight body, colourful finishes and cartridge/converter compatibility for straightforward everyday use.

Scrikss Noble 35

For writers who prefer a more substantial professional fountain pen, the Noble 35 combines metal construction with a refined appearance and cartridge/converter filling. It can suit everyday professional writing, journaling and gifting without moving directly into Scrikss' premium collector range.

Scrikss Heritage — Inspired by Istanbul

Scrikss created the Heritage series for its 50th anniversary. Designed by industrial designer Kunter Şekercioğlu, the collection takes inspiration from the aqueducts surrounding Istanbul and uses their architectural forms as part of its decorative language. Penshelf currently offers Heritage fountain and rollerball writing instruments, including Gold, Ivory Gold and Matt Black configurations.

Premium Materials & Presentation

Selected Heritage models use brass construction, elaborate surface work and precious-metal plating. Penshelf's Heritage Gold Rollerball, for example, combines an engraved brass body with 23K gold plating and premium presentation suitable for collecting and milestone gifting.

The Scrikss 1964 Collector Pen

The Scrikss 1964 was created as a commemorative model celebrating the company's Turkish manufacturing story. Scrikss records that the original 2009 edition was produced in a total run of only 210 pieces and incorporated premium materials including sterling silver and a 14K white-gold fountain-pen nib. Penshelf currently lists the Scrikss 1964 Fountain Pen in a wooden presentation box as one of the highest-value instruments in the Scrikss collection.

Beyond Fountain Pens

Scrikss also develops rollerball pens, gel pens, mechanical pencils and multifunction writing instruments. The Trion, for example, combines blue ballpoint, red ballpoint and a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil in one writing tool.

Technical Writing & Mechanical Pencils

Scrikss mechanical-pencil collections such as Graph-X, Matri-X and Twist broaden the brand into technical, study and professional writing. These products can be particularly useful for students, designers, engineers and users who prefer precise refillable pencil mechanisms.

Scrikss for Gifting & Professional Use

Because the Scrikss range spans accessible daily writers through premium metal and collector instruments, the appropriate model depends heavily on the occasion. Explore Gifts for Writers for individual gifting or Corporate Gifting for professional and organisational requirements.
